Pupil Premium
It has been recognised that a more individualised approach to teaching and learning may be beneficial for some children at certain points along their educational path. The Government has released funding for those pupils who are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) in Primary and Secondary schools across the country.
Schools are required from September 2012 to report on-line how they have used the pupil premium and the impact it has had on pupil attainment and progress. Whilst the DfE is clear that this information must be published on-line there is no specific advice about the how schools should report on the use and impact of pupil premium.
‘Schools, headteachers and teachers will decide how to use the Pupil Premium allocation, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for individual pupils.’

In our school the funding is used in a way we think will best support the pupils with their learning and to raise their attainment.
